Our Story
We’re a family-run dairy farm based in Over Hulton, Bolton, where we’ve been caring for our land and livestock for over 70 years! Our herd of mostly Ayrshire cows are at the heart of everything we do - producing the rich, creamy milk that’s become the foundation of Milk Maids.

HOW MILK MAIDS BEGAN
When the price of milk hit an all-time low nearly a decade ago, we decided to take a leap — and started making our own ice cream right here on the farm. What began as a small idea soon became something we loved, and we haven’t looked back since!
Farm Fresh & Local
In 2018, we were proud to receive our raw milk license, allowing us to share our milk exactly as nature intended. Since then, it’s grown in popularity tenfold, with customers coming from near and far to taste the difference.
How to Find Us
We’re easily accessible, our address is Deardens Farm, Manchester Road, Over Hulton, Bolton. BL5 1AT in between junctions 4 & 5 on the M61. We don’t have any onsite parking, there is however ample space on the road side, please be mindful not to park blocking any neighbours driveways or double yellows.
